Hey Everyone! I am sorry to announce the Trendsetter Workshop that was scheduled for March the 13th has been canceled. Please check back with us for more workshops to come! Happy Knitting!
Yarn Lady has been the capitol of knitting in Orange County, California for nearly twenty years. I was a customer before I was the owner. When the store became available I could not envision a world without Yarn Lady. Besides, where was I going to get my fiber fix? I learned to crochet from my Granny at a young age and later taught myself to knit… I have been hooked ever since.
My attraction to the fiber arts led me on a very interesting journey. First an art degree with a minor in weaving, then a career as a designer with a major textile mill. My designs led to the first million-yard fabric designed specifically for the casual furniture market. That led to a successful and still-active career designing furniture. In between all this I designed, manufactured and sold a successful line of Italian leather handbags, placing them at Anthropologie, Fred Seagle, and Verve to name a few. Prior to moving to California I started, developed and sold a successful full-line women’s boutique in Georgia. I believe all of those opportunities were a precursor to where my heart really lies: the fiber arts.
I am extremely fortunate to have a dedicated group of teachers and salespeople working with me. These women are each masters of their craft in their own right, and each brings diversity to the Yarn Lady. From the beginner to the advanced knitter, our team is committed to sharing and enhancing the love of fiber arts and providing the products and inspiration that create beautiful handmade objects.
